Sometimes you just need your greens! But we don’t always want to eat spinach salads or sautéed kale. Smoothie bowls are an easy and delicious way to pack in a ton of nutrients to your day! This Tropical Green Smoothie Bowl is not only beautiful, it is extremely easy! We promise you’ll feel great and your body will thank you!
Greens are high in fiber and low in fat so they are perfect for trying to reset your body or just keep things running smoothly. While we do love spinach (or kale), we add pineapple and mango to really sweeten up this smoothie and for the added vitamin C: a very important immune-boosting antioxidant. The parsley adds flavor, as well as, many of the benefits of the greens! Along with the fruit, the Unsweetened Coconut Flakes add a hint of tropical flavor to really make you feel like you just walked off the beach! Flax and Chia Seeds provide Omega-3 essential fatty acids which help to reduce inflammation and the risk of chronic heart diseases. They also can help improve brain memory function… which we could always use!
Simply blend these ingredients together until smooth and pour into a bowl! We like to top our bowl with dragon fruit, which like the other fruits in the smoothie, is high in vitamin C. We also like to throw in some Goji Berries for texture and for the antioxidants and anti-inflammatory benefits.
Pro Tip: Use frozen fruit. This way you don’t have to add ice and it helps with the consistency! It is usually cheaper than the fresh stuff and it lasts way longer.
