Can I get an Amen for cauli-crust? Pre-packaged cauliflower pizza crust was one of the biggest game-changers for us in 2017. In case you’re not familiar, cauliflower pizza crust is a low-carb alternative to traditional whole-wheat pizza crust. Although our homemade cauliflower pizza crust definitely takes the cake, this pre-made crust from Trader Joe’s is nice to have in a pinch.
When it comes to toppings – you can decorate as you please. Start with a layer of tomato sauce. We recommend our food processor marinara for the freshest flavor!
I went for more of a Meditarranean route and topped this one with goat cheese, parmesan cheese, artichoke hearts and sun-dried tomatoes. After it emerged from the oven, I piled on the arugula! If you’re looking for a meatier pizza pie, roasted chicken or shrimp could be added to amp up the protein.
Earlier in the week, I whipped up a simple arugula salad with a lemon and olive oil vinaigrette. We topped the pizza with some of the leftover salad to give the pizza a fresh, peppery kick. Can you call this a salad pizza?!?
